The higher efficiency will result in a longer lifetime for the torch and in fewer trips back to have the lighter examined if it fails to light correctly. Most often, however, these lighters are remarkably reliable and can provide a lifetime of service.

These torches produce a high-pressure flame that can be turned upside down without the flame inverting. This means that the flame can be directed with great accuracy. Whether one is pointing the flame into a pipe, under a cigar or into a campfire, the heat will be delivered to the desired spot. This makes them perfect for difficult applications.
